Hippocratic Oath

I solemnly swear by that which I hold most sacred
With my teachers, family, and friends as my witnesses
That I will carry out to my ability and judgement
This oath and indenture:

1. That I will be loyal to the profession of medicine and honest and just to its members
2. That I will freely impart my knowledge to those who wish to learn
3. That I will carry out my art with honour
4. That I will continually seek to increase my skills
5. That into whatsoever house I shall enter, it shall be for the good of the patient and community to the utmost of my power
6. That I shall abstain from intentional wrong doing and harm, from corruption, and from tempting of others into vice
7. That whatsoever I shall see or hear of the lives of men or women which is unfitting to be spoken I will keep inviolably silent
8. That I accept this professional privelege with humility
9. That as I am true to this oath, may I gain good repute and fulfillment in the practice of the art and science of medicine.
